The third in the series, this book drags the reader deeper into Foo and even gives us a little more information about the sycophants. Along the way, more distressing news about the current state of Foo keeps our main characters off balance and draws them away from each other, just as they need each other most. The unknown narrator makes some commentary at the beginning of some chapters that reminded me of Victor Hugo's chapters on history thought Obert Skye's narrator limited his descriptions to

Book 1 was so good and made you think that the rest of the series was going to be fun and exciting and so adventurous. Boy was I wrong. I really liked this book. At first I was really annoyed with it and how everything was falling apart in Foo. But near the end I became hopeful again and I am excited for the next book. The creatures and the stories behind this book is just amazing. How people come up with things like this I just don't know. May fate be good to Foo.

This is the third volume of the Leven Thumps series, and I am still finding that I like some parts while other parts still annoy me. I will admit that the balance is tipping and I am not as annoyed as I was in the earlier two books.
