That was a hard story to read but awesome nonetheless! Black Moon is darker than the previous books in the series and with a more complicated character. Finally, this is the complete story of Kalen and Mac and its exactly what I expected: dark and emotional. Kalen had the most difficult life. Hes abused by his father and then abused by strangers in order to survive. He is a powerful Sorcerer, Necromancer and panther shifter but he was very unhappy in his life so far. Unwanted and withoutWhen the hero first laid eyes on the heroine, he knew he was lost. The one night they spent together showed him tenderness and a sense of belonging, something he never before received in his life. The moment he chose to take off his magical necklace and gift it to the heroine for her protection was the beginning of the end for him. I was really disappointed with Kalen's book, I think I became bored very quickly in the beginning with regard to Kalen's weakness to Malik. I'm hoping the next book will make up for the disappointment.

The world and how it integrates shifters that have certain special abilities is fantastic. And the stories in each book always keep me on toes.I should warn you that I have a soft spot for this man.
