2.5 stars It was decent but could've been better. I liked the concept, I haven't read something like it before. I didn't like how the ending was so rushed, but the book did keep me hooked. The writing style was mediocre and simple, but flowed well. This book is the one which I remember best. It's the kind of story that would stick in any teens mind - shy wallflower with a shitty home-life becomes the most popular girl at school & attracts the attention of the most attractive boy who happens to be her soulmate. Also, she's a witch & all this happens after a near-death experience & a guardian angel who isn't what he seems.
23 May 2019Dark Angel is book 4 in the Night World series.I liked how Ash also shows up in this book, if only for a bit. And we see the good side of him.The last few chapters really got me feeling bad for Angel.
rating: 4starsgillian was desperate, depressed and was in a really bad place. on the day she thought she died, she met an "angel", or so she thought, as he helped her achieved her dream, to become popular, be noticed by david and be one of the in crowd. over time, angel demanded that she does stuff and eventually she learned who angel really is. the "soulmate" part, resurfaced again in this book, being with david. the real identity of angel and the all other secrets made her understand herself
