I read this book when it came out along with millions of other folks. The set up and motivation for the story was done quickly and economically and even though there was an affair involved we accepted the motivation as to why. Which is tough to do. The book is about romance, and love and relationships. If I had to sum up the book in one word I think it would be, 'tender.'
